Hi,
Can anyone give me a clue, besides the obvious " the line has been
disconnected ", as to the possible causes of this:
/var/adm/syslog ....
Mar 24 09:09:17 linuxbox dip[109]: DIP: Probably line disconnected!
Mar 24 09:19:00 linuxbox syslogd: exiting on signal 15
Mar 24 09:25:51 linuxbox syslogd: exiting on signal 15
Mar 24 09:29:55 linuxbox dip[96]: tty_notlocal: fd0: /dev/tty1 fd4 /dev/cua1
Mar 24 12:20:43 linuxbox dip[96]: >>> Line disconnected
Mar 24 12:20:43 linuxbox dip[96]: DIP: tty: set_disc(0): I/O error
Mar 24 12:20:43 linuxbox dip[96]: DIP: tty: set_state: I/O error
Mar 24 12:20:43 linuxbox dip[96]: DIP: tty_close:tcsetattr(tty_saved): I/O error
Are there any other special serial commands that I could issue to make
the line more stable? I have tried with & without:
# Enable fastest speed for modem
stty crtscts < /dev/cua1
/bin/setserial /dev/cua1 spd_vhi
in /etc/rc.d/rc.serial ... but the modem capriciously drops the line
after a few hours or a few minutes.
Does anyone know how to "interrogate" a Zoom VFP for error reporting,
like for the USR: ATS13=0 and then ATI6 ??
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Rob
