Two recommendations:
1) The "BOG" - That's the "Bind Operators Guide" which comes with
the BIND (Berkley Internet Name Daemon) sources. Read it and live by it.
Latest BIND version is 4.9.3-REL with one patch that I'm aware of.
2) O'Reilley Nutshell handbook - Managing DNS and Bind. Another
bible.

Running primary and secondary DNS servers for over a dozen domains,
I can answer LOTS of questions. For flat out instructions though - best
get the BOG and the book and have at it. When you run into something in
particular - then I can help. I would have to write a book myself to just
give some instructions on how to do it.
