Linux can handle the SMB and AppleTalk side of things very well and
very easily but I am not so sure about the NetConnect HP printers.
Linux can do the bootpd side with no problems but there is other
software involved.
These printers rely on HP-provided filters to do spooling etc and
if there is any binary involved, these filters may not be available
for Linux.
If you get an answer on this, I would be interested to hear.
