Demo version 0.5 of Scend is on sunsite.unc.edu in /pub/Linux/Incoming
and will probably be moved somewhere into /pub/Linux/kernel
Scend is a quite universal configuration file editor (full-screen) I've
written for kernel configuration. It's currently still in development,
so don't expect it to be useful, but what is there should be enough
for a first impression.
If you run it, I'd be particularly interested in feedback on the
following issues:
- speed: is it acceptable on slow systems (386SX etc.)
- layout: any ideas for improvements ?
- file formats (if you're looking at those things): can you think of
any configuration task they wouldn't be suitable for ?
Since a picture says more than thousand words, I haven't appended the
usual excerpt from README or CHANGES, but a screen dump (of a slightly
over-configured kernel) instead.
