I have uploaded a new copy of SafeDelete 1.1 to sunsite.unc.edu. It is in
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/Incoming/ until it gets moved to its
proper place:
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/utils/shell/safedelete-1.1.tar.gz
This code fixes the following problems:
- symbolic links to directories were not being deleted.
- inode information for symbolic links was not being saved correctly.
- the value for $HOME was obtained from /etc/passwd instead of from
the environment variable. this was causing problems for some folks.
This fix is released as version 1.1a. Issue 'safedelete --version' to
make sure you have the correct release.
