I have uploaded my short, simple, and sweet perl scripts to do automatic
installation of kernel images. I find them pretty useful for managing
multiple kernel versions on the same machine; it automates an otherwise
repetitive task that gets tiresome. Basically, to use it, you simply
build your zImage and type 'kinst'; it copies the kernel to your lilo
boot directory (including the version number of the kernel in the filename),
then automatically generates a lilo config file and runs lilo to install
the image. Much easier than doing it all by hand.
i've uploaded it to both tsx-11 and sunsite as 'kinst-1.0.tar.gz',
though I'm not sure where it will end up. You can try:
tsx-11.mit.edu:/pub/linux/sources/usr.bin
sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/system/Install
