I have placed my copilation of the Emacs 19.28 sources onto sunsite,
with an appropriate (I think) LSM entry. It's 6M of stuff, sitting in
/pub/Linux/Incoming for now, I hope that eventually it will get moved to
/pub/Linux/apps/editors/emacs. This is compiled with LIBC 4.6.20 and the
XFree 3.1 libraries. There is a second copy of the executable which does
not include X support. It is compiled to install into /usr, rather than
/usr/local. (/usr/bin/emacs I think is a much more common phenomenon than
/usr/local/bin/emacs, but that's just my own impressions).
Comments are accepted. I hope people find this useful.
