The NCSU Linux Users Group is planning the Linux event of the
CENTURY! We're planning what we call the "NCSU Linux Expo '95" for
April 22. The expo will be on the Centennial Campus of NCSU, room 2309
Textiles Complex. Directions will be available on the Web Page
(http://www.linux.ncsu.edu/linux)

What do we plan? Right now we plan to have several demo machines showing
off everything cool about Linux. We also have a commitment from
Michael K. Johnson, Rik Faith, and Marc Ewing as speakers. We
are actively seeking other Linux speakers. Also on hand will
be representatives from companies that sell Linux related products
and representatives from local hardware vendors.

What will you get? Lots of good Linux info and lots of demos of what
Linux can do. And for you NCSU Engineering students, you can satisfy
one of your technical meeting requirements. Right now, we have a
growing list of committed speakers that will give insight into what
makes Linux tick. We also have several door prizes to give away from
the Linux Journal and WorkGroup Solutions, Inc. We expect plenty
more to come....

What do we need? We need people interested in Linux to show up!
This is really snowballing into a BIG event. If you're interested
in Linux, you should be there.

This event will be open to the public. We hope to have seminars and demos
going all day and light food will be available.

The cost of admission is as follows:

                                Pre-registered Not preregistered
                                -------------- -----------------
All students (from anywhere) $1 $3
Non-students $4 $5
Vendors $75 (pre-register only)

Those wishing to pre-register can mail to expo95@www.linux.ncsu.edu with
the subject "registration" and their name in the body of the message.
Please also identify whether you are a student or non-student (we will
require student id's at the door).

This is a preliminary announcement. More definite details will
come forth shortly. If you have any questions, comments, or
suggestions, feel free to email tmcreek@eos.ncsu.edu or
djbarnes@eos.ncsu.edu.
