Version 0.4 of my Macintosh HFS filesystem loadable module is now in
Incoming on sunsite. It will be moved to ALPHA/hfs/hfs_fs_0.4.tgz.
This package is a loadable kernel module for linux 1.1.94 which reads
the filesystem used by all but the most ancient Mac System software. So
far, it only works for 1.44Mb floppies. Support for cdroms and hardrives,
as well as writability, will come in later releases.
The main enhancments in this release are:
Support for AppleDouble file format for accessing a file's resource fork.
Improved/corrected handling of filenames which include characters in the
upper half of Mac character set. (This is from code donated by Abacus
Research and Development, Inc. (ARDI), the producers of the Executor
Macintosh emulator.)
