A free demonstration copy of Poplog 15.0 is now available by anonymous
FTP from
ftp://ftp.cogs.susx.ac.uk/pub/poplog/poplog15.0
A full installation requires 30Mb of disk space. You can collect it as a
single, compressed tar archive of around 8Mb in size, or in fragments
fitting onto seven 1.44Mb diskettes. Full instructions for copying and
installation are given in the README file in the FTP directory.
What is Poplog?
===============
Poplog is a multi-language program development environment, widely used
for teaching and research. It comes with compilers for Pop-11, Prolog,
Common Lisp and Standard ML, plus tools for building your own, and can
run under X or in terminal mode.
This demonstration copy is a restricted version of a commercial product
marketed by Integral Solutions Ltd. in the UK, with a limited heap size
and without the ability to make saved images. It is entirely
unsupported: if you have problems with it, the best way to get help is
by posting to the comp.lang.pop newsgroup which provides a general
discussion forum for Poplog users.
You can buy a full Poplog 15.0 with support -- for Linux, for other
popular Unix systems and for VMS -- from Integral Solutions Ltd.
