The Cal Linux Users Group, based at the University of California at Berkeley,
is searching for speakers to present at our meetings. Please get
in touch with us if you are interested or if you know someone who may be.

Info for Prospective CalLUG Guest Speakers:

CalLUG encourages guest speakers at our meetings. If you represent a
company or organization that has valuable information pertinent to the Linux
community and would like to make a presentation at a CalLUG meeting, we ask
that you take these factors into account:

CalLUG meetings are generally on Wednesdays around 7:00 pm, though
meeting dates and times are flexible.

CalLUG meetings usually last between 1 and 2 hours, so presentations
should be kept to around 1 to 1.5 hours.

CalLUG members come from all over the Bay Area, though most are
students, faculty, and staff of the University of California, Berkeley.

CalLUG members have varying degrees of experience with Linux.
Some members haven't even installed it yet, while others have been
administering a Linux system for years.

Knowing this, if you think your presentation would be interesting and useful
to CalLUG members, please mail board@callug.cs.berkeley.edu with:

     Name of your organization
     Name of a contact person
Email address and phone number of a contact person
     What your organization does
     Subject of the presentation
Equipment requirements (that you cannot provide)
Best time and day of the week
     Approximate length of presentation
Any other information you think we should know

There are only a limited number of CalLUG meetings every year, and we will
do our best to schedule as many talks as we can that would be of interest to
the largest number of our members. We look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Paul Eastham
CalLUG Chairman
