I recently uploaded the first version of my newly-created Linux
SVGAlib "front-end" for Angband 2.7.8. It is available from
export.andrew.cmu.edu:/Angband/Linux/ang-svga.tar.gz. It was built
against Angband 2.7.8, using GCC 2.6.3, libc 4.7.2, and SVGAlib 1.2.7.
The above file comes with the pre-compiled executable, a couple of
necessary data files, and the source for the SVGAlib routines, but it does
*not* contain the rest of the sources (which are necessary to compile the
program). Those are available in a separate directory on the same FTP
site.
For those who don't know, Angband is a turn-based Dungeons and
Dragons-type game, similar to Hack, Rogue, Larn, and Moria (which it is a
descendant of). The SVGAlib version is the same as the others, but is
uses graphical symbols instead of color letters where appropriate.
