I have managed to slightly modify the source of xfractint to get it to
compile with gcc 2.7.1 snapshot (and 2.7.0+presumably 2.6.3). I have
placed it on my home page,
http://www.ncssm.edu/user/karpens/public_html/home.html
and on ftp://odin.ncssm.edu/pub/linux/xfract3fixed.tgz
I have also uploaded it to SunSITE. It is currently in
/pub/Linux/Incoming/xfractint-3.00-fixed.tar.gz
I make absolutely no guarantees about these modifications. They
seem to work for me. The xfractint binary (linked with libc 5.2.8,
Xfree 3.1.2, ELF), ELF object files, and all of the source are
included.
