Well, I haven't been able to reproduce that. However, I noticed that
the NetBSD pmail had the bug that it would write a million ^@'s at the
top of your mbox file. (I recently fixed this bug in Solaris pmail).
So I rebuilt and installed pmail for NetBSD.
