Yes, we'd be interested in such a thing.. Possibly even better would
be to have the FAculty Liasons install it next to the other support
software for other languages. I've cc'd this mail to them; I'd expect
them to make contact reasonably soon, either to say ``yeah, we'd be
interested'' or to say ``sorry, doesn't fit in right now'' or
somesuch.
A particular question I have concerns the source of the spellchecker
dictionary - is it freely redistributable? Did it some from a
commercial dictionary of some kind?

Hi,
As you know, athena has a spell checker called ispell. Well, a
friend and I have made a spell checker using ispell. Our spell checker
is for spanish and has a dictionary of 87,000 words. If you feel that
this might be useful to other students, please tell me and I'll tell
you what we've done and what I do to use it. Thanks for your time.
