Has this been reported before?
If you try to use xscreensaver to lock your screen, but click and hold
a mouse button before the screen is locked (which can be a few seconds
later on a loaded machine), xscreensaver cannot lock the screen. It
displays the error message:
xscreensaver: Error grabbing pointer (BadRequest)! Giving up on screensaver activation (try again).
This bug occurs only when you are running a windowmanager (mwm, twm,
vtwm.gamma are all affected) and on all public platforms.
This could be a serious problem if a user enters "xscreensaver -L"
and leaves his workstation immediately (without checking to see the
xscreensaver window appear and lock the screen): another user can
then grab the mouse, click, and gain full access to the first user's
session. Do I sound paranoid? Good. :-|
