Xmosaic on Suns seems to have some font problems:

Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-lucidatypewriter-medium-r-normal-*-14-*-iso8859-1" to type FontList
Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-times-medium-r-normal-*-17-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-times-medium-i-normal-*-17-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-times-bold-r-normal-*-17-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-courier-medium-r-normal-*-17-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct

The problem seems to be, with the Times fonts, that the Adobe version
is not scalable (so the -17- sizes cannot be found). There is,
however, a Linotype version of Times and an ITC version of Courier, so
replacing the -adobe- with -*- looks like it does the trick. The
problem with the lucidatypewriter is that the font hasn't been
specified completely enough:
    -*-lucidatypewriter-medium-r-normal-*-17-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1
works. Many of the other fonts don't work either: in general, it looks
like replacing -adobe- with -*- will fix most of these problems.

thank yew for yer taaaahmm,
ed
