Hi.

Linux is a free UNIX which is avialable for the 386/486 series of
machines.  It is not from the FSF, rather it is the work or Linus
Torvalds and a cast of thousands.  There is also a free version of X
(X-Free86) which runs under Linux.

The SIPB is working on an Athena port to Linux, which would allow
RESnet users to utilize most of Athena's services from their home
machine.

The correct place to send mail for help with linux is:
	linux-help@athena
