There's a new, easier way to get to xgopher:
athena% add outland
athena% xgopher
This should get you to xgopher on all Athena platforms, and maybe some
others. Also, I plan to have the text client built for all platforms
sometime in the near future; it too will be available in the outland
locker once it's ready to be installed.
As for your question, there's gopher documentation in
/mit/outland/doc/gopher (after doing the add as above) but that's
pretty technical in nature... I can probably help you directly, if
you can explain a little more what it is that you'd like to do.
Please reply to me (yandros) directly, and not to bug-sipb or
bug-outland, since they aren't really relevant at this point; I'll
make sure all the important stuff gets forwarded that as necessary.
