I had this discussion with several people a couple weeks ago (Chee and
Barr3y, I think). Basically, I was surprised that there wasn't a
newsreader that wasn't more like discuss in it's subscription
semantics. I'd be interested in looking into this, but right now I've
managed to spread myself a little too thin, so I'm not making any
promises. Where is there a copy of the uncompiled elisp that I can
look at?
