I re-built these programs adding -lhesiod and installed them in the
sun4 build tree of the sipb locker. They will get released tonight.
This way it doesnt matter if anyone has a hacked libc to do name
and service resolution.
Remember that if you are NOT running 4.1.2 then yes, you WILL get
an error from ld.so (since you probably dont have libc.s{a,o}.1.7,
but rather 1.6. This is NOT a problem. Its just because deathtongue
is running a newer release, but the program will work fine.
I put these back because I think the functionality is REALLY
neccessary (then again, since I'm working on a paper and the zephyrs
are bothering me, I thought that it would help, too :-)
If you have a problem with this, please send me personal e-mail.
-derek
