Since I and my group moved over to RS/6000s, I was curious to know by
when you may have plannned to build xfig and related utilities for
   these machines.

I have compiled and installed the "xfig" package, which includes xfig,
f2ps and f2p, and the "transfig" package, which includes fig2dev,
fig2ps2tex, pic2tpic, and transfig.

The programs may not actually show up in the sipb locker for another
day or so, but they should show up some time in the next twenty-four
hours.

If you would like any other SIPB software that is not compiled for the
RS/6000 to be compiled, please let us know; you might also want to CC
your comments to rs6000-comments; the people who run that list are
interested in knowing what SIPB software people want to use on the
RS/6000 workstations.
