i'm trying to use dvips to put a draft banner on my output.
i've been trying to use the postscript hooks.
their behavior confuses me.
in particular the eop-hook affects the next page.
when i looked at the context of the dvips output, i
observed that the definition of eop does a showpage
before it (optionally) performs the eop-hook.
shouldn't this be reversed? otherwise it has the same
effect as the bop macro.
