The xrn editor does not insert line feeds automatically because the X
tookit editor does not insert linefeeds automatically.

If you want xrn to put linefeeds into your messages after you are
finished writing them, see the "breakLength" and "lineLength"
resources in the xrn man page.

If you want the X toolkit editor to put linefeeds in as you're typing,
just as emacs does, put something like this in your .Xresources file:

XRn*Composition.pane.text.wrap: never
XRn*Composition.pane.text.autoFill:	true
XRn*Composition.geometry: 661+0+0

The first two lines turn on the linefeed insertion, and the third
makes the window 80 characters wide so you end up with 80 character
lines.

Note that you can always use "M-q" in the editor to reformat
paragraphs and insert newlines, just as you can in emacs.

Note, furthermore, that if you don't like the editor, you can make xrn
use another editor. See the documentation for the "editorCommand"
resources in the xrn man page.
