APO LEADS: Serve in Albany, NY! February 15-17

Hi folks,

More info below, but basically, there's going to be a Serve (weekend-long
APO LEADS course, I've never been but heard it's _really really awesome_)
in Albany, NY on the weekend of February 15-17. Cost for the entire
weekend, *including* lodging and meals, is $55 for students. (You have to
figure out transportation on your own, but there might be other folks going
from the Boston area with whom you could split a ride.) You need to have
taken Launch beforehand (there will be opportunities between now and then
if you haven't already.)

Registration is likely to fill up super fast, so if you're interested,
register now following the instructions below. And let me know if you're
going, so I can try and help with transportation issues. :-)

I would like to invite you to participate in an upcoming SERVE weekend
course of the APO LEADS program. This February we are hosting 4 events:

**Albany, NY February 15-17th *

SERVE weekends are focused on chapter and project management. This is a
weekend experience giving participants the opportunity to learn skills
needed to develop chapter management skills. The course will focus on small
group process where participants develop an actual project plan that can be
used by their chapters.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

=95 Meeting management =96 Learning about different types of meetings and h=
ow
to best run them as well as making meetings more manageable and effective
=95 Project management =96 Focus on the SPEED model to develop and execute
successful projects. Developing time management through project management
=95 Delegation =96 Learning the art of having others help with a task you a=
re
responsible for and using delegation strategies to utilize the whole chapte=
r
=95 Marketing =96 Developing and managing a positive chapter image and lear=
ning
how to let the world know what you are doing

COURSE AND REGISTRATION DETAILS
The course starts at 7 p.m. Friday and runs through noon Sunday. Unlike a
sectional or regional conference, attendees are expected to participate the
entire time of the event.

COST: $55 for Student Members and $75 for Alumni. A $5 discount is provided
to Life Members.

The cost includes lodging for both Friday and Saturday night, 3 meals on
Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. (Please note that the National Fraternity
subsidizes the costs of the SERVE courses costs). Extension groups may send
one member to one SERVE for FREE!

Registration will soon be available on APO.org <http://apo.org/>, however
until online registration is up and running you a can register over the
phone by contacting the National Office. Office hours are Monday through
Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. CST. Feel free to contact them by phone
