The Red Cross says it is experiencing an acute blood shortage (which
seems to be the permanent state of things). Please make the time to
donate at a time and place that is convenient for you even if you can't
join us.
The details:

What: Blood donation followed by Dinner Trip
When: May 19, 2026
Where: Bedford American Red Cross Blood and Platelet Donation Center,
213 Burlington Rd, Ste. 111, Bedford MA 01730
Why: Because it saves lives.
How:
To Make an appointment to donate call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or go on line at
https://www.redcrossblood.org/. If you don't see an available
appointment, check back since some people cancel. Also, sometimes, you
can get an appointment by calling when none appear to be available on
the website. The center is open from 11:00am - 7:15 pm.
Please join us for dinner even if you can't donate. You can either meet
us at the donor center or I can text you the dinner location once we've
decided on it. If you are interested in coming, but need a ride, let me
know and I'll see I can arrange something.
Please RSVP so I know who to expect. Send RSVPs by email to
ccrazy@panix.com or text message to 857-928-3118.
If you want to get it on your calendar now, the next two dates are: July
21, 2026 and September 15, 2026.
