This is actually a zephyr bug which has been reported in the past.
Mhmail doesn't put subjects on any of its messages. Since zmailnotify
doesn't store the date in the .maillock, therefore, all consecutive
messages sent from the same person to the same person using mhmail
look the same to zmailnotify, so it doesn't report them.
It should store the date, or something else that more uniquely
identifies each message.

What's wrong:
Zephyr doesn't work when the mail that is being sent is a file:
i.e.
athena% mhmail wdempsey < .project
doesn't work (It's worked once or twice out of about thirty tries...)
What should have happened:
Should have received notification of new mail via zephyr.....

I've been using zephyr in tty mode because I'm at a dialup server....
