We have an abundance of archive tapes (and lack of storage space).
Does anyone see the need for us to keep:
Scribe v4
Ingres < v6 (we have v2/v3, for example)
Ultrix binary < v4 (we have v1.0/1.1/2.0/...)
CCA emacs
BSD 4.2
BSD 4.3 alpha
X11 R5 alpha/beta and other test releases (not public distributions)
RT AOS 4.2
Dumps of build machines (other than the source partitions) (>1.5 yrs)
I am a bit more hesitant about the following, because of the remote
chance of referring to them, but I don't see it ever happening:
Scribe v3 (may include source)
X11 source < r4
Ultrix source < v3 (not all of Ultrix source is distributed, eg. mop)
Athena release sources < 7.0 (or some other value)
This is a 15-minute pass #1 after looking at the tape-archives.
There will have to be a couple more passes (we have about 5 times as
many 9-track tapes than can be hung up on the two racks).
I'd like to vacate one of the drawers to use for 8mm & QIC archives.
