> Perhaps it could be taken off the table? I agree; heck, I was in favor of making it the default back when it was first suggested. However, the rel-eng mailing list/discuss meeting is not the right place to have that discussion. Nor is it appropriate to propose making that change as part of an incremental bug-fix release.
