Win Treese seems to have a way to 'fool' bind 4.8...

set up a bogus domain such as 'hacks.' and put your local idea of the
"root" servers/local hesiod servers in its load file.  Make each
workstation authoritative for "hacks." and it will then believe it is
authoritative to tell you the hesiod servers in question.  This should
also work for class IN requests, although there is a danger of answering
someone else's request with a bogus 'authoritative' bit set.
