The cooling system in the Bdlg E51 cluster seems to have a bad thermostat.
No matter what the controls are set to, the system seems determined to
cool the room down to an uncomfortable 68 degrees. The only way to
maintain a reasonable temperature is to turn the system off until it
becomes too hot and then to turn it on again. People in the cluster
do this all the time.
The danger is that someone will forget to turn the system back on
when leaving for the night and the room will become very hot at damage
the workstations. I have come in in the morning to find the AC off
and the room very warm.
This has been a problem with this cluster for a least a year, and no
action has been taken (despite my earlier complaints to Athena staff).
Is there some reason why that this system cannot be better regulated?
Sorry about the whining tone,
