Dear Colleagues:
At approximately 1:15 pm on Monday, May 03, 2004, NSTAR had a major outage
in the Cambridge area. The MIT Central Utilities Plant lost power as a
result of this incident.
As of 3:30 pm, power has been restored to the following buildings: E23, E25,
68, 56, E17, E18, 13, W45 - W91, 39, and 40. Other buildings continue to
come on line. The Central Utilities Plant is being brought on
simultaneously.
We expect all MIT buildings and their systems will be back on line by 5:00
p.m. today.
