Gentlemen, when I last tested the set  of Zip drives in the cluster I 
found a several problems stopping their usability in each case.
Sometimes it was a missing symlink in /vol/dev/aliases,
sometimes no vold, sometimes physical damage,, et cetera.

Hopefully that has improved. What remains a problem is the 
user friendliness of these drives.
