Hi,
We would like to move a public Ultra 5 Athena workstation from
the MIT Institute Archives and Special Collections, Rm. 14N-118,
to Rm. 14-010, the MIT Libraries Systems Office Server room.
The hostname is arc-read-room.mit.edu, ip address 18.51.0.23. We
would like to rename the host to malgosia.mit.edu.
There is some pressure to move the machine as soon as possible
due to the fact it will allow us to address the issue of Y2k
(non) compliance with our current libraries.mit.edu web server
(a Sparc 5 running 3 year old versions of Athena and Solaris).
The move has been authorized by Naomi Schmidt in conversation
with Eric Celeste of the MIT Libraries on 12-16-99.
