Per naomi and my conversation with brian.
1) memory in 4-370 for next week (starting tuesday at 1)
2) ultra 10 or more memory for 56-114 for next term.
Thanks,
Craig

We will be using the classroom 4-370 intensively next week for
11.208 and the classroom 56-114 during the spring for 11.520.
Barring upgrades I don't know about, both of these rooms are
equipped with Sun Sparc 4 workstations with 32 MB of RAM. As
I have noted earlier, 32 MB is no longer adequate for doing even
the most basic presentations. I therefore request that you
upgrade both of these units to 128 MB of RAM, which will greatly
improve performance. According to the NECX web site, the needed
32 MB modules currently cost $93.90 apiece (Kingston Part No.
KTS32000/S5, NECX Part No. 91915).
Actually, if you're feeling generous, a Sun Ultra 10 with 24-bit
graphics would be great for 56-114. The Ultra 10's performance
on ArcView is MUCH better than a Sparc 4's, and the increased
color depth would be welcome as well.
