This computer is an UltraSPARC workstation. We're having
network difficulties with it. On bootup, it will not get
past the network part. Aborting the startup and typing
'watch-net' or 'test net' causes the machine to print the
message:
initiating internal loopback test ............
and then stop. No more periods, no messages, nothing. It
won't stop the test for keystrokes, stop-A, or ctrl-C.
Nothing short of physically turning it off will stop it.
The network adapter attached to it illuminates the LEDs for
receiving data and collision, so it seems to be connected
to the network.
I'm stumped. Thanks for any help you can give.
Sincerely,
Donald S. Crankshaw
