Hello there,
I work in the research group of Prof. Griffin @ the Francis Bitter
Magnet Laboratory. We have access to the athena system through our ('ccnmr9')
sparc station.
I noticed that it is not possible to send background jobs to THIS machine or
being logged on for more than 10 hours without renewing the login session.
I completely understand that such as policy is the right method to maintain
machines meant to be available for a larger number of users from different
origins,
In our group however, it makes the usage of this machine as a source for
runnning simulations in the background almost impractical and I was wondering
whether is would be possible to change the restrictions for some of our group
members with respect to our machine ccnmr9.
