I had a strange problem with the following machine:
m66-080-12 18.63.1.12
I tried to start up an emacs window, everything crashed, and a little
screen came on that said
"Kernal Error: Panic...."
And then it dumped everything in to a huge coredump (37Mb) into the
system directory before restarting.
After waiting for it to finish rebooting, and then logging again, emacs
failed with a segmentation fault and left a core file in my directory.
