These errors are symptomatic of an incorrectly configured serial line.
The DECstations are known to be stricter about serial line settings
than the VAXen or RT's. The correct serial line settings are:
8 data bits
1 stop bit
No Parity
Full Duplex
Please check your serial line settings and let us know if this is not
the problem.
