Frienly Test
============
The following dates have been set for the beginning of friendly for
release 7.3:
DECstations running Ultrix 4.2 Tue. 7/23
VAX and RT running BSD Wed. 7/24
RS/6000 runninb AIX 3.1.5 Fri. 7/26
Mac runnins AUX 2.0 Mon. 7/29
All tester packs will be distributed via AFS from E40.
*Mark will rebuild the friendly testers list.
Staff Test
==========
Need to get a complete list of staff machines.
Release Notes
=============
System notes ready to go any time.
Should list moajor Non-Athena software on the platforms, especially
the new ones.
*Peter will talk to Jeanne Cavanaugh about documenting PCsim on the
RS/6000.
Area of Concern for Release 7.3
===============================
- tn3270 for all platforms
- Sym Link explosion on packs.
- dotfiles
- Resources for SIPB to support new platforms
*- Lincenses for RS/6000 software, will install all
appropriate software and clear up licenses out of band.
- 2-for-1 RS/6000 to be deployed in E40 and Building 11 test
cluster. These machines must be returned eventually.
Other
=====
OLxx synergy meeting set for next meet among the different developers.
Jerry is working on incorporating Athenaisms into Tcsh-6.00 from
Cornell for adoption as our new Tcsh. Get's us out of the Tcsh
business.
