As a reminder, the Lockers vs. Packs project team will be holding an
open forum on our results in E40-496, tomorrow Friday April 16th
between 1 and 3pm. Staff and other interested parties who want to
learn about our conclusions and suggested "next steps" on software
deployment mechanisms for Athena are invited to attend. We will be
providing some "dessert snacks" (cookies and fruit) as an enticement
for people to attend. :-)
For anybody who did not pick up copies of the documents, ASCII
versions are available in TechInfo in the Potluck folder. The
original documents are in Microsoft Word, and copies live in the
Public folder of the Mac Shadowfax.mit.edu in the Athena zone. The
patch release process document should be read in the pretty-printed
version, since it does contain one diagram.
The "Definitions and Random Musings" document (which is *not* critical
to understanding the other LVSP documents, but just fills in some
assorted useful background information) is now finished. It will be
placed in TechInfo and on Shadowfax with the other documents shortly,
and printed copies will be available at the meeting tomorrow.
