Consultants and developers,
The tty-based techinfo client gets about 60 uses at MIT each weekday.
Some of the people using it would probably like to have a Motif
interface, such as the one I've been working on for the last couple
months. Although there are still many improvements I could make to this
interface, it's important not to succumb to creeping featurism so that
we can quickly release a version of X TechInfo that people can use. It
will be easy enought to make more improvements later.
I'm soliciting your comments on the interface, particularly things that
you feel should be changed before X TechInfo is inflicted on the Athena
community at large. Please send comments to techinfo@MIT.EDU.
To try the interface, type the following on any of the four
Athena-supported platforms or a sun4:
attach techinfodev
/mit/techinfodev/xti
Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise with the TechInfo team.
