WHAT:   Xhibition 93 Call for Participation

WHEN:   June 7-11

WHERE:  San Jose Convention Center

WHO:  You. Or maybe a colleague.  If you know someone who would 
like to speak, pass a copy of this call for participation onto 
others or let us know.

WHAT:  Xhibition is more than a Technical Conference and trade 
show to see and to hear about X and Distributed Computing.  It 
is the place where technology meets the industry.  X has matured
and so has our audience.  The attendees are looking to you, the 
technology leaders, to lead them into the right direction.  X, 
formerly interesting only to developers, is expanding into different
markets and combining with different technologies.  With Xhibition 
at the focal point, our technical conference covers a broad base of 
technologies and solutions utilizing those technologies.  Some

HOW?

Proposals for paper presentations and panels should be 300 words.  
Paper presentations will be from 20 minutes in length.  
Written papers are not required but the conference proceedings 
will be published.  Please note all deadlines below.

Panel presentations will be from 60-90 minutes in length.  Panel
chairpeople are responsible for coordinating and for disseminating
information to their panel members as well as gathering presentations 
for publication.

This year, we are increasing our emphasis on advanced tutorials.  
Proposals for tutorials require a 3 hour course outline. Comprehensive 
tutorial notes for attendees are required and must be delivered by the 
deadline below.  Tutorials are strictly technical and should not contain
sales or marketing information.

For Papers, Panels, and Tutorials:
Since we attract a diverse set of developers and end-users with varying
skill sets and experience, we ask that you specify who your audience 
should be.  Please include any prerequisites, degree and type of 
programming experience (if any), and the general level of the 
presentation (i.e. novice, intermediate, advanced, or expert).
        
If proposals are being made through a PR agency or speaker's bureau,
the speaker(s) information (name, company, title, address, phone #, fax #, 
e-mail address) as well as complete information from the contact 
person are required.
