The LP web site for collecting comments about this proposal was a great idea.
I don't like to 'vote' on things pro/con just to amass predominance of one view
over another. But providing commentary which gives someone pause to consider
the status of approval is something else, so I sent in a comment. Of course,
knowing that there were already a huge number of comments sent, probably of
great philosophical length, most of which no one would be taking the time to
read in their entirety, I only offered: " This plan really sucks. Count me on
the side of those who oppose it." Just a word from one customer - who Rulez,
Do0d.
I remember those statements about the internet democratization of voting, or
candidate selection, etc. This is very useful in that crucial crux between
private & public policy. Unless everyone agrees that all should be searched
nightly in case they've been bad and need to go to reform camp for morality
retraining.
I would support a proposal for sending political candidates to a study camp to
"Know Your Constiution" - why we have it, what it means.
