Actually, quite a few of the newest SLRs have matt finish stainless on the
faceplate. Also isn't there a recent CA law against viewing anothers
property with a "vision enhancing device"? A PI or LEO would be informed
and in compliance (at least for overt activities).
I'm not sure I'd be setting out the claymores but it might be prudent to be
a little more situation aware for a while.
