I've seen the message attached below floating around lots of newsgroups
and mailing lists lately. I have come to the incontrovertible
conclusion that, in the interest of vicarious glory, we should encourage
all our children to take up drinking large quantities of alcohol. They
should also experiment with the full gamut of opiates.
This would be best, not only for our own pride as parents of a
generation, but for the future of humanity. Plainly.
