I think it's a little bit out of line to give Usenet readers the
impression that they should e-mail their VISA number around the
network to order books.  For one thing there is a fairly explicit
NSFnet backbone dictum which says that it is not cool to send invoices
over the network, that's just too commercial.  Besides, who knows
where that message will sit in a spool directory of some evil site
grepping every message for visa numbers.  

At some point in the future, when the Internet as a whole is freed
from appropriate use restraints, I would have no problem with the
overall tone and content of the posting.  Until that time you would do
best to keep the "Ordering Information:" section trimmed down to the
absolute minimum necessary to have the interested buyer retrieve the
information on their own dime via phone, fax, or some other
caller-paid mechanism.  Return e-mail might even be appropriate in
some cases.  but no VISA numbers, please....
