It looks like `screen` currently does not work, although tmux does:
aero-astro-estates:~> byobu
Directory '/var/run/screen' must have mode 775.
aero-astro-estates:~> screen
Directory '/var/run/screen' must have mode 775.
aero-astro-estates:~> tmux
[exited]

Oops, there was an unintended firewall rule in place. It's been removed.
