Folks;
  Per RT# 1514075 from Debra Alibrandi(Professor Slotines secretary) There is a problem with the
Athena/ linux operation of his new Dell 780. He says the workstation running very slowly until he
re-boots it. It then goes back to running very slowly after a few minutes. It is running the DebAthena 
version, we offer to reinstall and upgrade it to  Lucid explaining that a fresh install/update will write over
everything on the harddrive.
 
He did not want this done because we could not assure him that he would have the same data after
the upgrade, he wanted to leave it as is. 

He wanted me to look into having someone look at his problem to help him with the slow running
problems, or give him an explanation of what he could do. Do we have anyone from the release-team
who could help us??
