Sorry for the delay. Catching up on old discuss.
Just so they're recorded somewhere, I plan to change the following
things about the 8.1 release. (All subject to debate, of course, but
I feel pretty strongly about most of them.)

* There will be no more /bin/csh -> /bin/athena/tcsh symlink.
It's my recollection that the release team decided that this link
should not be removed on old platforms, but failing to add it on new
ones is OK. If that is the case, this goes against that decision, and
should probably get explicit approval from the release team,
especially given how user visable it is. I know you feel very
strongly that it should go away, but we need to address the support
issues.
